Sundt Construction in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead detailed takeoffs, develop cost estimates, and close bids with minimal oversight.

You will coordinate junior estimators, source quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, and support multiple project delivery methods across earthwork, paving, utilities, and structures.

Requirements include a four-year engineering degree, 10+ years in estimating, proficiency with HCSS and MS Office; LEED or DBIA credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training.
• Ten+ years in an estimating role.
• LEED accreditation and/or DBIA certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quantity take-offs to develop all-inclusive cost estimates.
• Estimate unit costs by analyzing crew composition, production rates, and equipment.
• Prepare supplier bid packages and obtain competitive quotes.
• Coordinate junior estimators and interns on takeoffs and vendor solicitation.
• Lead detailed reviews and provide explanations of estimates.
• Utilize cost history databases to verify production rates.
