Comprehensive Energy Services, Inc. in Longwood, FL is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our on-site team. You will review plans, perform quantity take-offs, and develop labor, material, and equipment costs for mechanical and plumbing projects.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineering, and field teams to clarify scope, seek value-engineering opportunities, and support bid proposals. Experience in Florida markets is a plus.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in mechanical and plumbing estimating, including detailed quantity take-offs, scope review, and bid preparation.
• Strong skills in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and design-build documentation.
• Proficiency with estimating and construction software, cost databases, and MS Office applications.
• Solid understanding of construction means and methods, building systems, codes, and industry standards for mechanical and plumbing work.
• Ability to analyze costs, evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals, and perform value-engineering and cost comparison exercises.
• Effective communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills for working with internal teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.
• Relevant experience in commercial, industrial, institutional, or mission-critical projects; experience in Florida markets is a plus.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and ethical standards.

Responsabilités

• Review plans and specifications to prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and develop labor, material, and equipment cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineering, and field teams to clarify scope and identify VE opportunities.
• Prepare bid documents and participate in pre-bid meetings.
• Assist in negotiating with vendors and subcontractors to refine proposals.
• Refine estimating standards, maintain historical cost data, and support process improvements.
