Zusammenfassung

Southland Industries seeks a senior estimator to lead the estimating function for diverse projects. You will prepare budgets, conceptual and detailed estimates, and assemble materials and sub-contractor proposals for large, complex builds involving multiple trades.

You will assist the Chief Estimator with presentations, reports, and schedules, while coordinating resources, timelines, and stakeholder communication. Strong negotiation, Excel/Word skills, and industry know-how are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience, including 3 years’ people and project management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical skills.

• Strong presentation skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

• Excellent knowledge of Quick Pen Auto Bid Mechanical and Sheet Metal Estimating software.
• Ability to set deadlines and adhere to project schedules.

Aufgaben

• Lead estimating function for multi-function projects.
• Prepare preliminary budgets, conceptual and detail estimates for larger projects.
• Assemble materials and pre-qualify sub-contractor proposals.
• Assist Chief Estimator with presentations, studies and budget reports.
• Develop deliverables, timelines, and resource plans.
• Delegate work and coach team members.
• Oversee red-lining and negotiate with vendors.
• Keep current with industry standards and best practices.
