Job summary

Rosendin Electric is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead bid development for electrical construction projects. You will prepare detailed estimates from take-offs, review drawings, and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure accurate pricing.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 4 years of estimating experience, with proficiency in Accubid, Livecount Cloud, and Bluebeam. Opportunities for growth and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Perform arithmetic calculations required for estimating.
• Estimate all types of projects and coordinate group work.
• Mentor and assist with the development of estimators.
• Identify and meet customers’ needs, expectations, and requirements.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and change priorities.
• Work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements.
• Oral and written communication skills for the position.
• Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
• Interact effectively with all levels of employees, vendors, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimate from quantity take-off and complete the estimate.
• Review proposal specs, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope.
• Develop labor productivity and unit costs based on site conditions.
• Identify qualified suppliers and solicit quotes.
• Provide leadership to personnel preparing sub estimates.
• Ensure all documents back up estimate figures.
• Maintain Rosendin estimating program and records.
• Explain scope and pricing to project teams after bid is won.
