Job summary

Performance Contracting Group's San Diego operation is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead bid development, detailed takeoffs, and cost analyses. You will work closely with owners, PMs, architects, and subcontractors to craft competitive proposals while ensuring accuracy and completeness.

The successful candidate will have 5–7 years estimating construction projects and 10+ years in the industry, with strong software skills (On-Screen Takeoff, Quick Bid, Bluebeam, Procore) and a leadership

Qualifications

• 5–7 years estimating construction projects.
• 10+ total years in the construction industry.
• Experience estimating or managing specialty scopes of construction.
• Ability to read specifications and drawings for PCI scopes of work.
• Strong customer relationship history and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with cost analysis capabilities.
• Proficiency with takeoff and estimating software (On-Screen Takeoff, Quick Bid).
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam Revu, Procore, or PlanSwift.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate RFPs for applicable scopes of work.
• Evaluate subcontractor quotes and alignment with bid documents.
• Develop relationships with local customers to support PCI objectives.
• Coordinate with owners, construction managers, architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Attend pre-bid site walk-throughs and write detailed proposals.
• Prepare bid analyses, cost estimates, and financial job cost analyses.
• Source subcontractors, materials, and equipment while evaluating pricing.
• Provide training and leadership to estimating team as needed.
