Job summary

Performance Contracting Group is seeking a Senior Estimator for its San Diego operations, based in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on preparing RFPs, evaluating subcontractor quotes, and developing bid strategies across PCI scopes.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of estimating experience in construction, 10 years in the industry, and strong cost analysis abilities, with proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff, Quick Bid, and related tools.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years’ experience estimating construction projects.
• 10 years of total experience in the construction industry.
• Experience estimating or managing specialty scopes of construction.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret specs and drawings for PCI’s scopes.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare RFPs for applicable scopes of work.
• Evaluate subcontractor quotes and alignment with bid documents.
• Develop relationships with local customers to support PCI objectives.
• Work with owners, CM, architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Attend pre-bid site walk-throughs and write detailed proposals.
• Prepare bid analyses and conduct bid reviews.
• Prepare financial job cost analyses and source subcontractors/materials.
• Provide training to Estimating team and contribute to sales plans.
