Job summary

Your Talent Team seeks a Senior Estimator (Mechanical/Civil/Structural) in the Houston, TX area for industrial EPC and data center construction. The role focuses on developing accurate cost estimates for large-scale projects, with minimal travel and fully onsite work.

The position requires 10+ years of estimating experience in industrial construction, strong knowledge of civil/structural methods, and proficiency with Trimble Accubid and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years experience in lieu of degree.
• 10+ years estimating experience in industrial construction.
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural methods and cost drivers.
• Proficiency with Trimble Accubid and Excel.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, isometrics, civil drawings, and structural plans.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, structural, and mechanical scopes with emphasis on piping and mechanical systems.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, and equipment pricing using Trimble Accubid and Excel.
• Review drawings, specs, and scope documents for accuracy.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineering, and construction teams to validate assumptions and execution strategies.
• Develop pricing for lump sum, unit rate, and time-and-materials proposals.
• Develop construction schedules in Microsoft Project.
• Analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for alignment with scope and standards.
• Identify project risks, exclusions, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Support bid reviews, estimate reconciliations, and post-bid handoffs.
• Maintain estimating databases, historical cost data, and productivity benchmarks.
