Job summary

DCS Asset Maintenance, LLC is looking for an experienced estimator to support our growth in performance-based maintenance contracting for roadways and bridges. You will prepare detailed estimates for bids and proposals by gathering information, working with operators, performing advanced analyses, and presenting options to leadership for decisions.

The ideal candidate will have excellent and advanced numerical skills and an analytical mindset.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of proven experience as estimator or similar position – highway or structures asset maintenance a plus.
• In depth knowledge of financial and project management principles.
• Strong data analysis methods and estimation formulas.
• Advanced math and IT ability with analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work with subcontractors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Understand the performance-based maintenance contracting business model.
• Determine key variables for cost and other estimates.
• Gather information from sites, suppliers, subcontractors, and operators.
• Conduct research on labor costs, materials, and production times.
• Use software for data analysis, modeling, forecasting and budgeting.
• Review offers and quotes from subcontractors or vendors.
• Create and submit estimate reports or bids to leadership.
• Build relationships with key vendors and engineers.
• Present bids to Company Leadership at gate reviews.
