Job summary

Stantec, a world-leading design firm, is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead multi-discipline cost estimates and construction schedules for major heavy civil projects. The role involves coordinating a team of estimators, preparing execution plans, and ensuring estimate defensibility for clients.

This position offers flexibility to work from home or in a Stantec office, with potential domestic and international travel. A strong background in heavy civil estimating and scheduling is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, Operations Management, Business Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in an estimating and construction role.
• Field experience on major infrastructure or waterfront construction projects.
• Experience with cost estimating in heavy civil projects and public infrastructure programs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the development of multi-discipline cost estimates and construction schedules.
• Coordinate input parameters for cost estimates and schedules across disciplines.
• Validate material takeoffs and construction quantities from drawings.
• Develop estimate execution plans, staffing, and schedules for major efforts.
• Prepare basis of cost estimate reports for end users.
• Interface with management and clients for estimating tasks and defensibility.
