Job summary

READY Construction in Dallas, TX seeks a Senior Estimator to lead cost estimating for ground-up, renovations, and design-build projects. You will collaborate with preconstruction, project management, operations, subcontractors, and clients to craft competitive proposals and support project execution.

Bring 7+ years of estimating experience and a Bachelor's in Construction Management or Civil Engineering. Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and related tools is expected to deliver accurate,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Proven ability to develop accurate and competitive estimates for ground-up, renovations, and design-build projects.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Experience with subcontractor bidding and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process from bid review to final proposal submission.
• Review architectural, structural, MEP drawings and specs for cost implications.
• Prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subs, and general conditions.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analyses to establish budgets.
• Solicit and negotiate pricing with subcontractors and vendors.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop bid strategies and alternative construction solutions.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits.
• Prepare bid summaries, budgets, and cost breakdowns for management and clients.
• Mentor junior estimators and support the estimating team.
• Manage multiple bids with accuracy and timeliness.
