Job summary

rand* construction corporation is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead bidding efforts and develop accurate estimates for commercial projects in Dallas. The role emphasizes coordinating with subcontractors, analyzing drawings, and guiding preconstruction activities to support winning proposals.

Candidates should have a strong background in construction estimation, a deep understanding of AEC processes, and the ability to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Engineering or Construction Management recommended.
• 10+ years of experience estimating commercial construction projects required.
• Knowledge of architecture, engineering and construction.
• Strong ability to analyze project drawings, specifications and RFPs.
• Proven ability to multi-task in a high volume, time sensitive/deadline environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual estimates, bids and pricing analysis for proposed projects.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs.
• Maintain bid log of documents and prepare subcontractor scope of work.
• Prepare time, cost and labor estimates from drawings, specs and RFPs.
• Develop subcontractor relationships and solicit bids.
• Evaluate bid specifications and drawings.
• Develop budgets and RFIs.
• Coordinate with marketing and internal teams during proposal/bidding process.
• Communicate with owners, architects, engineers and project team.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of systems, procedures, methods and tools.
