Job summary

Michels Infrastructure Solutions is seeking an Estimator to support preconstruction and pursuit efforts for hyperscale data centers and mission-critical infrastructure. You will prepare estimates, takeoffs, and pricing analyses in collaboration with operations, procurement, and preconstruction teams.

You will evaluate project requirements, identify risks and opportunities, and help develop competitive proposals for North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM/CE/PM or related field and 2+ years in estimating or related experience.
• Experience with heavy civil, utility, mission-critical, or EPC projects.
• Ability to review drawings, specifications, contracts, geotechnical reports, and project schedules.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; estimating software preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel ~75%.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, budgets, and proposal support documents for infrastructure projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, bid documents, schedules, and contract requirements to understand project scope.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Support procurement and operations teams in pricing strategies and execution plans.
• Identify project risks, assumptions, exclusions, and value engineering opportunities.
• Assist with estimate reviews, bid submissions, and project turnover activities.
• Develop project schedules, production assumptions, and execution strategies.
