Job summary
Rosendin Electric is seeking a Senior Estimator to prepare and complete bid documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. You will lead the estimating team, work with suppliers and customers, and ensure accurate, timely bid packages.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in CM/Engineering and 4+ years of estimating experience, with proficiency in Accubid, Livecount Cloud, and Bluebeam. Travel up to 10% may be required.
Qualifications
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Perform arithmetic calculations required for estimating.
- Estimate all types of projects and coordinate/group work.
- Mentor and assist with the development of Estimators.
- Identify and meet customers’ needs and requirements.
- Proficient in using a computer and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- Oral and written communication skills as required for the position.
- Self-motivated, proactive and a team player.
Responsibilities
- Prepare estimate from quantity take-off for each project.
- Review proposal specs, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope.
- Develop labor productivity and installation unit costs based on site conditions and data.
- Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes; review for completeness.
- Provide leadership for discipline sub-estimates and back-up data.
- Maintain documents to back up estimate figures and Rosendin program.
