Job summary

Metric DCX is seeking a Senior Estimator to own pricing on large, complex data center projects, guiding estimates from early budgeting through final bid and collaborating closely with design teams. You will mentor junior estimators, source subcontractor pricing, negotiate where it counts, and apply a value-engineering mindset to hit budget without sacrificing quality.

This role requires daily travel to Boston, MA, and offers strong pay plus comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision

Qualifications

• Senior-level estimating experience on large-scale commercial or mission-critical projects.
• Proficiency with Timberline OST and Excel.
• Ability to identify risks early and communicate them clearly.
• Interest in data center or mission-critical construction.

Responsibilities

• Own cost estimates for large, complex builds from budgeting to bid.
• Lead and mentor junior estimators and MEP specialists.
• Review scopes and drawings with design team to catch issues early.
• Source and evaluate subcontractor pricing and negotiate.
• Apply value engineering to hit budget while maintaining quality.
• Maintain client relationships to ensure pricing aligns with needs.
• Monitor market trends in materials and labor and incorporate into estimates.
