Job summary

Performance Contracting, based in Spokane, WA, is seeking an experienced Estimator II to perform estimating duties for PCI scopes of work across our Spokane operations. The role involves quantitative takeoffs, labor productivity settings, vendor pricing, and subcontractor solicitations, with involvement in internal bid reviews and customer alignment.

The position requires 5+ years of estimating experience, strong reading of specs/drawings, excellent communication, and proficiency with estimating

Qualifications

• Five years’ estimating experience in construction
• Experience with estimating or managing specialty scopes of construction
• Ability to read, interpret specifications and drawings for PCI scopes
• Strong track record in customer relationships
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills
• Attention to detail and cost analysis skills
• Ability to read project schedules to determine durations
• Proficiency with takeoff/estimating software and MS Office tools
• Ability to work in teams or independently
• Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative takeoffs on construction projects
• Establish labor productivities for estimates
• Maintain relationships with vendors for pricing
• Solicit subcontractor pricing for non-self-performing work
• Understand market conditions to set margins
• Involve in internal bid reviews with supervisors and project teams
• Support customer alignment through positive relations
• Handle contract administration for secured projects
• Use wage and benefit schedules in estimates
• Hand off secured projects to Operations team
• Assist in change orders and billings as needed
• Support estimating team for product line collaboration
