Job summary

Performance Contracting Group in Raleigh, NC is seeking an experienced Estimator II to estimate PCI scopes of work and support bid reviews. You will perform takeoffs, establish labor productivity, solicit subcontractor pricing, and maintain customer relations for successful project wins.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5 years' experience estimating construction projects.
• Experience with estimating or managing specialty scopes of construction.
• Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI's scopes of work, specifications, materials, and methods.
• Has a record of establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills.
• Possess a high level of attention to detail and cost analysis skills.
• Ability to accurately read project schedules to determine sequencing and durations of scopes of work.
• Proficiency with computer takeoff and estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff and Quick Bid.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word), Bluebeam Revu, Procore, or PlanSwift.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative takeoffs on construction projects.
• Establish labor productivities for estimates.
• Maintain positive relationships with area vendors for pricing.
• Solicit subcontractor pricing for work outside of our self-performing group.
• Understand market conditions for establishing margin percentages.
• Involvement in internal bid reviews with supervisors and project teams.
• Participate in customer alignment objectives by creating and maintaining positive customer relations.
• Contract administration for secured projects.
• Utilize wage and benefit schedules.
• Handoff secured projects to Operations.
• Assist in other duties such as change orders or billings.
• Support Estimating team for product line collaboration.
