Job summary

Performance Contracting Group in Spokane, WA is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead quantitative takeoffs, establish labor productivities, and manage subcontractor pricing for a diverse portfolio of commercial construction projects.

You will read specs and drawings, coordinate with vendors, and participate in internal bid reviews to maximize margins.

A Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field and 2+ years estimating experience are preferred; Spokane locality is favored.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of estimating construction projects.
• Experience with estimating/project management/managing specialty scopes of construction.
• Strong ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI's scopes of work.
• Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• High level of attention to cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative takeoffs on construction projects.
• Establish labor productivities for estimate.
• Maintain positive relationships with area vendors for pricing.
• Solicit subcontractor pricing for work outside of our self-perform group.
• Understand market conditions for margins and bid competitiveness.
• Be involved in internal bid reviews with supervisors and project teams.
• Participate in customer alignment objectives by maintaining positive relations.
• Contract administration for secured projects.
• Utilize wage and benefit schedules.
• Hand-off secured projects to Operations Team.
• Assist in other duties such as change orders or billings.
• Support estimators with product line collaboration.
