Job summary

Amtrak is seeking a Sr Principal Project Manager - Estimating/Commercial for its New York, NY operations. The role leads CMAR estimating, commercial strategy, GMP negotiations, and procurement across multiple packages within a major rail infrastructure program.

The candidate will oversee cost modeling, validation, and risk management, collaborating with Legal and Engineering to ensure clear deliverables and aligned pricing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
• 7+ years of relevant work experience required; 9+ years preferred.
• Experience with CMAR delivery, multi-package procurement, and GMP negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Lead CMAR cost model reviews and reconcile with ICE.
• Drive GMP negotiations and commercial strategy across packages.
• Manage subcontracting, procurement strategies, and risk.
• Oversee change orders, claims, and commercial exposure.
• Collaborate with Legal, Engineering, and senior leadership.
