Amtrak is seeking a Lead Project Controls Specialist - Cost in New York/Philadelphia to lead cost engineering for capital construction projects. You will develop budgets, analyze cost performance, and liaise with Capital Finance to support grants management and reporting.

This role blends project controls expertise with finance collaboration. The position requires broad experience in cost control, earned value management, and proficiency with SAP, Maximo, Procore, and P6.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
• Plus 6 years of relevant work experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s or higher degree in Science, Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Three years of capital construction controls experience in rail/O&G/energy/pharma.
• Certifications: PSP, CEP, EVP, CCP (AACE) or EVMP or RMP (PMI).
• Experience with SAP, Masterworks, Maximo, Procore, and P6 Scheduling Software.

Responsabilidades

• Lead cost control: analyze, develop, maintain, and report project cost, forecasts and expenditures.
• Ensure budgeting/forecasting/scheduling and EVA practices are followed.
• Produce monthly cost performance analyses and bottom‑up forecasts.
• Collect and validate performance data from project teams.
• Maintain dashboards and presentations of cost/performance indicators.
• Support annual operating plan development and CAPEX funding requests.
• Coordinate change requests to adjust financial plans.
