Job summary

Amtrak is seeking a Sr Mgr Capital Construction to lead construction package delivery with focus on safety, on-time, and on-budget results. Interface with contractors and internal/external stakeholders to ensure alignment with Capital Delivery goals.

You will monitor performance, assist with contracting processes, and help manage cost, schedule, and scope within approved plans. A strong team leadership and communication skill set is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
• Plus 9 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contractor delivery and coordinate with stakeholders to meet program goals.
• Manage and monitor contract costs and schedules and report progress.
• Update project plans to communicate risks and issues to management.
• Develop and implement project plans, schedules and budgets per operations needs.
• Support planning activities and reporting, budgeting, estimating, scheduling and change control.
• Assist with planning, budgeting, coordination, and scheduling of resources for construction activities.
