Job summary

Amtrak in Philadelphia is seeking a Sr Principal Project Manager to lead the execution of large, high‑value projects with broad scope and budget. You will provide end‑to‑end project leadership and act as a key integrator across disciplines, partners, and stakeholders with high autonomy.

The role requires advanced project management judgment, strong communication, and the ability to mentor less‑experienced staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
• Plus 9 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and deliver large or complex projects in alignment with objectives, scope, schedule, budget, and governance.
• Develop integrated project plans, schedules, cost forecasts, risk registers, and metrics; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
• Identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, and changes with timely resolution and transparent communication.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external partners, and oversight entities to support decisions and delivery.
• Apply project management standards and mentor less‑experienced staff.
