Job summary

Automated Logic, a Carrier company, is seeking a Senior Sales Estimator to anchor our estimating process for large, complex building projects. You will develop cost estimates for owner-direct and construction-based work, read blueprints, and collaborate with Sales, Engineering and Operations to maximize win rate and project profitability.

You will mentor junior estimators, optimize estimating workflows, and ensure accuracy of scope and pricing for hardware, software, and labor while maintaining

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC, or Building Controls.
• 3+ years of direct, hands-on estimating experience for commercial BAS or mechanical controls projects, including reading complex blueprints and bid specs.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates for owner-direct and construction-based projects (hardware, software, labor).
• Deep dive into control schematics and bid documents to define scope and mitigate risk.
• Create detailed scope letters and proposals with best value-engineered options.
• Solicit and qualify pricing from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure market competitiveness.
• Partner with Sales leadership and Operations to align pricing with market conditions and business objectives.
• Provide clear documentation and participate in turnover meetings to enable execution teams.
