Job summary

JE Dunn Construction seeks an Estimating Manager 2 in Atlanta, GA to review and execute bids on multiple and more complex projects. You will be responsible for all aspects of the estimating and bid process, from plan/spec review to soliciting and negotiating with contractors and suppliers, aligning with JE Dunn's strategy and values.

Key duties include preparing complex cost estimates, coordinating with vendors, and leading preconstruction activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered
• 5+ years estimating experience required
• 8+ years construction experience preferred
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals across multiple projects.
• Prepare material and other cost summaries from vendor quotes.
• Track value creation items from development through inclusion in project cost history.
• Develop and manage scopes of work for all trades, including responsibility matrix and bid coordination.
• Leverage project schedule and logistics to inform estimates.
• Collaborate with operations for constructability reviews of project documents.
• Provide deliverables at the completion of each major estimate.
• Identify opportunities to improve project profitability by understanding insurance structures and fees.
