Job summary

Western Digital in San Jose, CA is seeking a Sr. Program Manager, Sustainability Reporting and Engagement to lead ESG policy development, manage annual sustainability reports, and prepare disclosures for ratings and regulatory bodies.

The role requires deep knowledge of SASB, TCFD, and GRI, plus strong technical writing and cross-functional program management. You will coordinate with data owners, internal audit, legal, and external auditors; engage employees and external communities on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science or related field; Master’s degree a plus.
• 7+ years of experience in sustainability policy, reporting and disclosures.
• Expertise in annual sustainability report preparation in a large corporation.
• Proven expertise in key ESG frameworks (GRI, TCFD, SASB).
• Experience with voluntary ESG rating platforms such as CDP, MSCI, S&P CSA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine ESG policies; manage publication of ESG policies.
• Project manage annual sustainability reports and disclosures.
• Coordinate with data owners, Internal Audit and Legal; engage third-party auditors.
• Engage employees and external communities on sustainability topics.
• Support regulatory compliance strategies and roadmap; engage rating agencies.
