Job summary

Spartan Title, New Western’s in‑house title and escrow subsidiary, seeks a Senior Escrow Accountant to own accounting, reconciliation, and reporting for escrow trust accounts across multiple states. This detail‑driven, individual contributor role is based in our Plano area office with hybrid scheduling.

You will bring seasoned escrow/title accounting expertise to a fast‑growing, national operation and ensure funds are tracked, reconciled, and disbursed in full compliance with state trust fund

Qualifications

• 5+ years in escrow, trust, title, or banking accounting.
• Knowledge of ALTA Best Practices and three-way reconciliations.
• Experience with title premiums and escrow disbursements.
• Proficiency in Excel and major ERPs.

Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile escrow transactions across active files.
• Perform monthly three-way reconciliations per ALTA Best Practices.
• Complete bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Manage escrow accounts per closing instructions and lender requirements.
• Remit title premiums and support audits and reviews.
• Prepare escrow trial balances and reporting.
• Support GAAP close and consolidated close processes.
• Ensure compliance with state trust fund regulations.
