Job summary

Verizon is seeking an experienced Senior Network Performance Engineer to lead performance management across LTE/5G networks, including Ericsson RAN optimization and ENM tooling. You will analyze traces, PM counters, and feature states to improve accessibility and throughput.

The role requires strong scripting and data analysis skills (SQL, Python) and collaboration with RF Planning and Operations. Hybrid work with some on-site in California is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Hands-on experience with Ericsson Network Manager (ENM), MOShell/AMOS, and ENM scripting utilities.
• Proficiency in 3GPP Rel 15/16/17 architectures, beam management, Massive MIMO, SSB/CSI-RS configuration.
• Hands-on experience decoding call traces (GPEH/UETR) and diagnostic logs (QXDM, TEMS Investigation, Actix Analyzer, Wireshark).
• Ability to parse large counter datasets using SQL, Python, or visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead Ericsson RAN optimization and performance management across LTE/5G deployments.
• Analyze PM counters to drive improvements in Accessibility, Retainability, Mobility, and Throughput.
• Parameterize and audit Ericsson feature states across spectrum layers (Carrier Aggregation, Massive MIMO, EN-DC).
• Analyze VoLTE/VoNR SIP call flows and optimize end-to-end voice quality.
• Monitor and optimize FWA 5G CPEs on Mid-Band and High-Band.
• Use MOShell/AMOS/ENM to run health checks and automated audits.
