Microchip Technology Inc seeks a Senior Technician II-Equipment to repair and maintain wafer fabrication production equipment, ensuring high uptime and safe operation on the floor. You will troubleshoot, calibrate and repair mechanical and electrical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years’ related experience, strong schematic reading, soldering skills, and familiarity with high vacuum and gas delivery systems.

Qualifikationen

• Technical or Military training in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant equipment maintenance and repair experience.
• Ability to read electrical/electronic schematics, mechanical drawings, piping diagrams and flow charts.
• Experience in component level troubleshooting of analog and digital circuits.
• Experience soldering and desoldering components on printed circuit boards.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing cable harnesses.
• Ability to test electrical components with an analog or digital multimeter.
• Familiarity with safety standards, procedures and cleanroom environments.
• Experience with high vacuum and gas delivery systems.

• Performing the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues using manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
• Maintain records on equipment notices, upgrades and safety issues.
• Study equipment performance and reliability.
• Develop programs to increase uptime and solve process problems.
• Provide technical support to operators and process engineering teams.
• Define preventative maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and cleanroom procedures.
