Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc is seeking a Technician IV-Equipment to support a wafer fabrication facility. You will repair and maintain production equipment to ensure on-time delivery of Diode products, troubleshoot on the floor, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has solid mechanical and electrical aptitude, experience with manual production equipment, and the ability to follow strict safety protocols while contributing to production efficiency.

Qualifications

5–7 years of equipment maintenance and repair experience.
Ability to read electrical and electronic schematics, mechanical drawings, piping diagrams and flow charts.
Experience in component level troubleshooting of analog and digital circuits.
Experience soldering and desoldering components on PCBs.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing cable harnesses.

Responsibilities

Perform PM and other routine maintenance on fab equipment.
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment issues, utilizing manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
Perform installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
Maintain records on equipment manufacturers' notices, upgrades and safety issues.
Study equipment performance and reliability.
Establish programs and solutions for increasing equipment uptime and for problems affecting production.
Provide technical support to production operators and process engineering teams.
Help define preventative maintenance schedules.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and cleanroom procedures.
