Job summary

Microchip Technology in Colorado Springs seeks a Skilled Technician to perform preventive maintenance, calibration and repair of wafer probers, ATE testers, ovens and related equipment in a collaborative team. You will support production and engineering, read schematics, use multimeters and soldering irons, and participate in improvement efforts while adhering to safety protocols.

Shift: 2nd; 2:00pm-10:30pm, M-F.

Qualifications

• PM maintenance on electro-mechanical production equipment
• Able to read schematics, mechanical drawings, or written instructions
• Experience using multimeters, soldering irons and mechanical tools
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• Ability to use MS Office
• Experience repairing semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration and repair of various toolsets
• Support production and engineering personnel
• Work in a small team environment with strong interpersonal relations
• Interface with OEM suppliers and contractors on repairs
• Provide input to improvement of maintenance schedules
• Attend training and stay current with equipment knowledge
