Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an experienced equipment maintenance professional to repair and maintain production equipment in our wafer fabrication facility. You will troubleshoot issues, review technical notices, and help optimize uptime and reliability on the manufacturing floor.

The role requires strong schematics and PCB skills, knowledge of high vacuum and gas delivery systems, and a commitment to safety and cleanroom procedures. This is a full-time on-site position in Lowell, MA.

Qualifications

• Technical or Military training in electronics, electrical, or mechanical fields or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of equipment maintenance and repair experience.
• Ability to read electrical/electronic schematics, mechanical drawings, piping diagrams and flow charts.
• Experience with analog/digital circuit troubleshooting and PCB work.

Responsabilités

• Repairing and maintaining production equipment in a wafer fabrication facility.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using manuals, schematics and diagnostic tools.
• Maintain records on equipment notices, upgrades and safety issues.
• Study equipment performance and reliability to improve uptime.
• Develop programs and solutions to increase equipment uptime and reduce process impact.
• Provide technical support to operators and process engineering teams.
• Create preventative maintenance schedules and ensure safety and cleanroom compliance.
