Job summary

Prysmian Group in Claremont, NC seeks a proactive Equipment Reliability Manager to oversee asset lifecycles using data-driven analysis of operation and failure modes. You will supervise technicians, drive maintenance strategy, and lead reliability excellence across maintenance teams.

The role collaborates with automation, engineering, and operations to resolve issues, manage change, and prioritize reliability projects for improved uptime and readiness for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BSME, BSEE, or related field preferred)
• At least five (5) years of manufacturing/engineering/maintenance experience
• Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred
• Strong data analysis skills and knowledge of statistical tools
• Excellent communication skills with collaborative interpersonal interactions
• Change agent mindset and ability to drive change
• Lean tools (6S, Kaizen, Operational Excellence)
• Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Supervise the activities of Process Control Technicians to drive equipment reliability and process improvements.
• Interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and discharging personnel per company policies; develop subordinates.
• Provide technical support and leadership in equipment reliability improvement.
• Lead equipment reliability excellence initiatives.
• Deploy equipment reliability projects to improve uptime and effectiveness.
• Track production losses and maintenance costs to prioritize failing assets.
• Participate in Management of Change for new/modified equipment to ensure maintainability.
• Lead investigations into equipment failures and implement permanent solutions.
• Develop and refine Preventive (PM) and Predictive (PdM) maintenance strategies with predictive tools.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Automation, Engineering and Operations to resolve short and long-term issues.
• Support CI projects across the facility.
