Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Mechanic to join our team, performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse fleet including aerial work platforms, pumps, and HVAC equipment. You will operate in a safety-focused environment with opportunities for skills growth and advancement.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience, a high school diploma or GED, and knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel/heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems; strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work indoors/outdoors as required; flexible with priorities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment to minimize downtime.
• Work with a safety-focused team to service Aerial Work Platforms, pumps, HVAC or oil/gas equipment.
• Maintain tools and records; follow Sunbelt safety and quality standards.
