Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse fleet including aerial work platforms, pumps, HVAC and other heavy equipment. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork across our North American locations.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience, a high school diploma or GED, and knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel or heavy equipment is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems with troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment in a safe, efficient manner.
• Work with a variety of makes and models of equipment such as aerial lifts, pumps, HVAC and oil/gas related gear.
• Maintain safety standards and proper documentation of service activities.
