Job summary

American Honda Motor Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer to lead the development of welding equipment for New Model Body in White programs.

You will oversee planning, specifications, and equipment concepts from styling sketches to first drawings, coordinating with North America DEBQ functions. You will mentor engineers, manage design changes, and ensure on-time, cost-competitive delivery of manufacturing solutions across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial) or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in New Model development and manufacturing.
• Expert knowledge of Body in White construction.
• Strong problem solving and root cause analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of New Model Weld equipment specifications and processes.
• Direct technical guidance to downstream teams to meet design and production deliverables.
• Oversee equipment verification, drawing maturation, and change management.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and drive continuous improvement.
