Job summary

Honda South Carolina Manufacturing seeks an experienced engineer to optimize supplier performance (SEQCDM) through PDCA in a culture of innovation. Provide technical expertise to ensure parts and processes meet mass production quality requirements.

You will review supplier processes, lead complex investigations, coordinate cross-functional teams, and mentor new associates while traveling up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• 2–8 years of engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or relevant experience.
• Experience with FMEA/PQCT and quality control methods.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and approve supplier processes including FMEA, PQCT, Operation Standards, and MQS for MP launches.
• Oversee and manage complex problem solving analyses and investigations with technical solutions.
• Lead root cause analyses, coordinate supplier/Design/E-side to resolve issues.
• Perform in-depth production process analyses to minimize customer concerns.
• Identify and resolve negative quality trends; discuss with suppliers and design teams.
• Confirm incoming parts quality using gages, CMM, and related inspection tools.
• Mentor new associates on problem solving and processes.
