Job summary

University Hospitals in Ohio is seeking an experienced Epic Application Architect (Procedural Area) to lead design and delivery of Epic-based solutions and ensure best practices across the EHR environment.

The role provides technical leadership to EHR staff and internal customers, develops architectures, tunes performance, and partners with IT leadership to align technology with clinical workflows and enterprise goals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years design and configuration experience in Epic (procedural area).
• 5+ years IT experience supporting EHR applications.
• Strong knowledge of clinical workflows across settings.
• Epic Certification in assigned architect area (required upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Analyze high level requirements and apply knowledge of clinical workflows and architecture to drive delivery of cost-reducing or capability-enhancing technologies.
• Serve as SME for assigned EHR applications, design application level programs and services, and validate code through testing protocols.
• Provide technical leadership to the EHR team and customer service teams to advance EHR use and design recommendations based on long-term strategy.
• On-Call/Off-Hours duties as required.
• Bridge current technical capabilities with business strategy and evaluate new technology aligned to organizational goals.
