Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an experienced IT professional who specializes in Epic platforms to design, implement, and support clinical and operational applications. The role requires 5+ years in IT or a clinical setting, plus EPIC certification within six months of hire and ongoing maintenance.

You will collaborate with clinicians and IT staff to deliver effective Epic-based solutions, including PB coding workflows and AI coding tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field.
Typically requires 5 years in IT or clinical environment with mapping, analysis, requirements, testing and documentation.
EPIC certification required within 6 months of hire and maintained annually.

Responsibilities

Designs and develops technical and/or non-technical solutions to moderate to complex business needs by gathering and reviewing information and data.
Assist with conversion and operational support planning across multiple projects; manage training where applicable.
Identify how requirements affect multiple application areas (Epic and 3rd party apps) and recommend cross-area solutions.
Work at the highest technical level of most phases of systems analysis and support testing and maintenance.
Communicate effectively with users; explain application functioning and coordinate with business and IT teams.
Act as liaison between business and IT to deliver technical solutions that meet needs.
Provide Epic platform and software capabilities guidance; evaluate vendor offerings and maintain data integrity.
Analyze operations to find automation opportunities and support business process redesign.
Prepare project plans, timelines, budgets, and coordinate across teams.
