Job summary

Matrix Service Company in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Sr. Accounts Receivable Associate to manage complex EPC billing—milestones, T&M, unit-price—and collaborate with project management, engineering, procurement and accounting to support order-to-cash performance.

The role emphasizes enforcing contract terms, accurate invoicing, collections, and AR outcomes across the full project lifecycle, including aging analysis and DSO improvements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' general accounting and/or accounts receivable experience.
• Strong construction industry experience.
• Understanding of contract types (Lump Sum, AIA, T&M, Cost Plus, Unit Price) and invoicing.
• Knowledge of accounting procedures; Sales/Use tax.
• Excel and Outlook proficiency; familiar with PENTA or Access a plus.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and written skills; self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex AR processes including cash application, posting, and reconciliation.
• Invoice according to contract terms and collect on overdue accounts.
• Support month-end percent complete and project status reporting.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, and accounting teams to validate billings.
• Administer change orders, amendments, and addenda for accurate billing.
• Prepare AR reporting and variance analysis; drive DSO improvements.
