Job summary

Raytheon’s Processing, Guidance and Controls Center in Tucson, AZ seeks a Sr. Systems Engineer – EO/IR or RF Signal Processing to design, develop, prototype, integrate, test, and assess RF/EO-IR algorithms used across missiles and sensor systems.

You will work onsite, collaborate across disciplines, mentor others, and help advance signal processing from lab to live-fire testing while pursuing Interim Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant prior experience.
• Signal processing experience in EO/IR, RF, Sonar, or Acoustic domains.
• Experience with C programming language, or Object-Oriented Programming with C++, C#, or Java.
• Experience with algorithm design, implementation, analysis, testing, and optimization.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret U.S. government issued Security Clearance before start date.

Responsibilities

• Act as a seasoned professional with advanced knowledge of signal processing to support difficult missile systems program objectives.
• Use and modify simulations for design, development, prototyping, integration, testing, and performance assessment of signal processing algorithms and models.
• Participate in engineering labs to test, verify, and validate sensor models and signal processing algorithm performance per requirements.
• Focus on integration of algorithms into hardware and collaboration across development phases from start-up to live-fire testing.
• Share knowledge and mentor others.
