Job summary

Raytheon, a leading aerospace and defense company, seeks a Principal Systems Engineer specializing in EO/IR or RF signal processing to join the PG&C Center in Tucson, AZ. You will design, develop, prototype, integrate, and assess RF or EO/IR signal processing algorithms used to calibrate and denoise sensor data, detect and track objects, and enable sensor fusion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8+ years of experience.
• Signal processing experience in EO/IR or RF domains.
• Experience with C programming language or OO programming with C++, C#, or Java.
• Experience with algorithm design, implementation, analysis, testing, and optimization.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced to expert signal processing knowledge to support missile systems program objectives.
• Use and modify simulations for development and testing of signal processing algorithms.
• Test, verify, and validate sensor models and algorithm performance in labs.
• Focus on integration of algorithms into hardware across development phases and reviews.
• Mentor team members and share knowledge across the group.
