Job summary

Raytheon in Aurora, CO is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer – EO/IR Processing to join our defense programs. You will design, develop, prototype, integrate, and test signal processing algorithms for EO/IR and RF sensors, supporting calibration, noise reduction, object detection, tracking, and sensor fusion.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in EO/IR, RF, sonar, or acoustic signal processing domains.
• Experience programming in C or OO languages (C++, C#, Java).
• Experience designing, implementing, testing and optimizing signal processing algorithms.
• Active and transferable DoD Secret U.S. government clearance required; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced signal processing expertise to missile systems programs.
• Develop and use simulations for design, prototyping, integration and testing of algorithms.
• Support lab activities to test sensor models and algorithm performance against requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate algorithms into hardware and support live-fire testing.
