The role covers underwriting, risk analysis, pricing, and broker development to build a profitable Environmental Casualty portfolio. The candidate should have 15+ years in insurance with 10+ years in Environmental Casualty, strong analytical skills, and proven broker relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years in the insurance industry with 10+ years in Environmental Casualty lines.
• BA/BS degree strongly preferred, or equivalent experience.
• CPCU or related Insurance Designation preferred.
• Knowledge of Environmental Casualty risk, pricing, coverage options and compliance.
• Ability to align pricing and underwriting with strategic priorities and market conditions.
• Strong wholesale broker relationship network in assigned territory.
• Advanced analytical skills for risk assessment and decision making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a steady flow of new business through broker development and management.
• Develop risk pricing by analyzing exposures and experience for new accounts within portfolio and authority.
• Meet budgeted financial results across premiums, loss ratio, retention, and expenses.
• Support profitability and growth through market analysis and product strategy.
• Stay current on regulatory changes, claims development, and emerging exposures.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Legal and Claims to drive product development.
• Lead position papers for emerging exposures when assigned.
• Identify corrective actions from broker reviews and risk analysis.
• Coach and develop junior underwriters on coverage and exposure training.
