Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Underwriter to manage renewal accounts for wholesale brokers across the United States, ensuring compliance with underwriting standards.

The role requires 3+ years in commercial lines P&C, strong knowledge of Environmental Casualty coverage, data analysis, collaboration, and ongoing willingness to grow into a production underwriting role. Preferred locations include New York, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, or Dallas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of commercial lines P&C experience, carrier or brokerage.
• Prior experience in wholesale distribution channel preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Environmental Casualty coverage and risk selection, methods and pricing.
• Ability to interpret and analyze data and make informed risk decisions.
• Ability to contribute to tactical and strategic planning.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse professionals.
• Must be coachable and open to growth into production underwriting.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes exposures to loss and develops premium charges; determines endorsements/exclusions and manuscript wording.
• Meets or exceeds production and loss ratio goals with agents/brokers.
• Analyzes coverage terms and pricing; handles mid-term policy maintenance and endorsements.
• Reviews endorsements and authorizes changes to policies.
• Travels to broker offices and AmTrust locations for marketing, training, and meetings.
• Researches new classes of business and market trends; supports rate changes.
