Job summary

BGE, Inc is seeking a senior scientist or project manager to support a broad range of environmental projects. The role combines field and office work, leading tasks and mentoring junior staff while ensuring regulatory compliance and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in environmental consulting, strong writing and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects across sectors including energy, land development, and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology, biology, ecology, or related field.
• 4+ years field experience with aquatic resources, protected species, ecological sampling, or related areas.
• Strong writing, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to lead fieldwork and coordinate with teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage and conduct environmental studies and investigations across multiple clients and sectors.
• Lead multiple project tasks, reviewing data and reports for regulatory compliance.
• Assist with permit coordination, coordination with regulatory agencies, and client guidance.
• Balance fieldwork with office work and mentor junior staff.
• Communicate technical information through reports and presentations.
• Oversee project quality, timelines, and financial performance.
