Job summary

S&ME, Inc. in Atlanta, GA seeks an Environmental Project Engineer or Geologist to lead fieldwork and reporting. This role involves environmental site investigations, data analysis, and mentoring junior staff, with opportunities for growth and leadership.

The position requires 5+ years of relevant experience, a PE or PG license, and strong collaboration and communication skills. Travel and fieldwork are essential, and ESOP is part of the benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Sciences, or related field.
• Master's degree in related field is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional environmental engineering or geology experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
• 40-Hr HAZWOPER training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental investigations: soil and groundwater surveys, monitoring wells, stormwater sampling, and site assessments.
• Perform field operations, coordinate subcontractors, ensure health, safety, and quality compliance.
• Analyze environmental data and prepare technical reports and regulatory documents.
• Support project management, scheduling, and proposal development to execute projects.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to support project delivery.
