Job summary

Terracon is seeking a senior environmental professional to conduct site investigations, assessments and surveys. You will identify risks, design remediation strategies, and prepare permits, risk assessments and regulatory correspondence.

Projects may include Phase I/II ESAs, ecological surveys, tank closures, asbestos abatement, storm water and site permitting. The role involves mentoring junior staff, leading project teams, and delivering high-quality technical reports while ensuring safety and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field with 7+ years of related experience; or 11+ years without a degree.
Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
A valid driver’s license may be required.
Certification in field of expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow safety rules and participate in pre-task planning.
Provide and lead quality monitoring and improvement on projects.
Ensure consistent quality standards on project and proposal delivery.
Plan and coordinate detailed phases of work for projects of moderate scope and complexity.
Mentor junior scientists/engineers and potentially serve as a team leader.
Perform scientific analyses and prepare written reports.
Direct field staff to sample, test and collect data; document site activities.
Develop written proposals to clients for small and large projects.
