Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist/Engineer to support the U.S. Air Force Environmental Restoration Program.

The role provides advisory and assistance services to AFCEC/CZO and CZR, guiding project work and ensuring schedules and budgets align with program goals. Responsibilities include program management, environmental investigations, remediation contract oversight, and data-gap analysis using ERPIMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific discipline; Master’s substitution allowed by experience.
• 3–10 years of environmental restoration experience under RCRA/CERCLA.
• Experience with PBR and ORC contracts with federal agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide advisory and assistance (A&AS) support to the Air Force environmental restoration program.
• Oversee remediation contracts, review work plans and reports, and ensure timely deliverables.
• Conduct data gap analysis using ERPIMS and coordinate with stakeholders to move sites toward closure.
• Develop statements of work and independent government estimates for environmental contracts.
• Prepare and present technical briefings to Air Force stakeholders and manage project teams.
