Job summary

Cherokee Nation Strategic Programs (CNSP) is seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist/Engineer to support the U.S. Air Force Environmental Restoration Program.

This role provides advisory and assistance services to AFCEC/CZO and CZR, helping move sites toward closure. You will develop statements of work, review contractor deliverables, and manage technical teams while coordinating with Air Force stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in engineering or science; master’s by experience acceptable.
• 3–10 years in environmental restoration (RCRA/CERCLA).
• U.S. Citizenship and DoD security clearance (NACI) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide A&AS support to the Air Force environmental programs.
• Oversee remediation contracts and conduct safety briefings.
• Develop statements of work and independent government estimates.
• Review deliverables including plans, reports, and performance updates.
• Conduct data gap analyses using ERPIMS data.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and manage technical teams.
