Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Engineer - Journeyman to support the U.S. Air Force Environmental Restoration Program in advisory and assistance roles. The role includes developing statements of work, overseeing remediation contracts, and presenting technical findings to stakeholders.

Candidates should have 3–10 years of environmental restoration experience under RCRA/CERCLA, strong communication skills, and a U.S. citizenship with DoD clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science required; master's substitution possible with experience.
• 3–10 years in environmental restoration under RCRA/CERCLA.
• Experience with PBR and ORC contracts with federal agencies.
• Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations and DERP.
• Experience with contract vehicles (Air Force, GSA, USACE).
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• U.S. Citizenship and DoD security clearance NACI required.

Responsibilities

• Provide A&AS support to Air Force environmental restoration programs.
• Develop statements of work and independent government estimates for contracts.
• Review investigation and remediation contractor deliverables and reports.
• Conduct data gap analysis using ERPIMS and prepare Data Gap reports.
• Update plans and installation documents with latest site cleanup information.
• Coordinate technical presentations with Air Force stakeholders and manage project teams.
