Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group. The role focuses on regulatory compliance efforts for federal, state, and local environmental projects in CDM Smith’s portfolio.

You will collaborate with teams to develop DQOs, QAPPs, SAPs and risk assessments, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to client-facing activities and proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in science with relevant registration/certification.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Travel may be required depending on duties and workload.

Responsibilities

• Supports site investigations and data interpretation for human health and ecological risk assessments (HHRAs and ERAs).
• Contributes to data quality objectives, QAPPs, and SAPs.
• Prepares conceptual site exposure models and risk assessments of varying complexity.
• Collaborates with scientists and engineers to implement approved project approaches.
• Provides guidance and training to junior staff and mentors growth.
